Pri-Lo-So: Why I’m Flipping the Script on the Modern Web
For years, tech pushed SoLoMo (Social, Local, Mobile): a framework that put algorithmic social feeds first, local communities second, and user privacy nowhere in sight.
We’ve seen where that got us. We ended up with endless scrolling, data harvesting, the collapse of local media trust, the degradation of mental health, the siloed division of politics and the collapse of both attention spans & workforce productivity.
I’m adopting a new framework called Pri-Lo-So (Privacy, Local Media, Social with Boundaries). Rather than wasting time building an algorithmic social media presence like everyone else, I am structuring my entire digital footprint around what actually matters to our communities and nation.
The Pri-Lo-So Architecture

└── 03_social/ # Professional Network & Utility Over Algorithmic Noise
1. Privacy First (/01_privacy)
Data Sovereignty Over Data Harvesting
Data privacy isn't an afterthought. It is the cornerstone of digital dignity. Our personal information, browsing habits, and private lives shouldn't be commodities.
By putting Data Privacy 1st, the primary obligation is clear: build zero-trust spaces, minimize data collection, and protect user control.
2. Local Media Second (/02_local)
Rebuilding What Social Media Destroyed
Giant social networks systematically starved local media. Local newspapers, community newsletters, and regional coverage have been swallowed up by global rage-bait designed to maximize screen time.
Local news is the backbone of informed citizenship and strong communities. Placing Local Media 2nd means intentionally directing energy, readership, and platform weight back to local journalists, regional stories, and the physical spaces right outside our front doors.
3. Social with Boundaries Third (/03_social)
Professional Value Over Personal Time-Wasting
Social media isn't inherently bad. It is just missing boundaries. Endless personal feeds designed to burn hours of your day and more often than not, add minimal value to your life.
Social Media comes 3rd, and strictly on custom terms:
Professional Over Personal: Using social platforms exclusively for professional networking, industry collaboration, and real-world utility.
Intentional Over Algorithmic:
Engaging to share actionable knowledge, not to farm personal clout or sink hours into mind-numbing doomscrolling.
The Pri-Lo-So Ethos:
Protect personal data at all costs, reinvest time in the local media that holds our communities together, and use social media as a professional tool, never a time sink.
